Cincinnati Union Bethel Debuts New Branding

Here is a video celebrating our new look.

Cincinnati Union Bethel (CUB) is feeling young again!  The longest running social service agency in Cincinnati has gone through a rebranding with Kolar Design to update its logo and tagline to reflect its philosophy and program. The agency celebrated the new look on Friday, December 19th at an agency wide meeting.

CUB started in 1830 to minister to boatmen who worked the Ohio River and became a pioneer in shaping the community, starting the first kindergarten, legal aid at a reduced rate, the first women’s dormitory at the University of Cincinnati, and many more programs.  Today, almost 185 years later, CUB is still an innovative leader in social services, providing affordable housing, supportive services and education in its three programs: Early Childhood Education, the Anna Louise Inn and Off the Streets.

CUB’s programs help women, children and families to grow in different ways, thus creating hope for new opportunities in their lives. The new logo emphasizes the role of growth in the areas of education, safe housing and recovery that Cincinnati Union Bethel provides.

Steve MacConnell, President and CEO, says, We are so excited about our new look and tagline, Growing Hope Since 1830.  Our rebranding coincides with the opening of the new Anna Louise Inn and our programs do represent hope for our clients: for the children, hope for a bright future; for women at the Anna Louise Inn, hope to live independent lives with dignity; and for Off the Streets clients, hope to overcome the trauma and make positive changes in their lives.

The new Cincinnati Union Bethel identity embodies the strength of our mission, passion and future-forward thinking. A clean, modern logo was created for our parent brand, and each of our programs, to build awareness and unify around one brand message – growing hope. The icon sprouts’ from the name, symbolizing the emotional, operational and financial support CUB provides and the growth that blossoms for our clients. The identity system leverages our equity green color, an uplifting palette and a timeless type font to complete the presentation of our new Cincinnati Union Bethel brand.
